For this project the client wanted a rustic stone look to replace the old rendered wall look. The retaining walls were consrtucted of standard breeze blocks and were just that.
The options were to face the walls with natural stone but this is a more costly option and would have probably presented some problems plus quite labour intensive, particularly as some of the buildings although more recently rendered were not plumb. It was decided therefore to use a stone cladding option.
The client is very keen for the walling to look weathered so a mixture of diluted plant food will be sprayed over the walling in the spring months.
